Company E's concert repertory is commissioned from artists around the world and developed by our own remarkable choreographic team. Concerts are built around work from an individual country in partnership with the Diplomatic Missions from that nation under our NEXT series, which showcases the work of emerging artists from countires like Israel, Spain and, in January 2016 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Poland.
They are also built from work developed by our stable of in-house choreographers, like Co-Artistic Directors Paul Gordon Emerson and Kathryn Sydell Pilkington, founding member Robert J. Priore
and the entire troupe.
Evening-length works inspired by individual artists, like the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish and collaborations with the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa and the US Department of State form another element of the creative process. Scores by our resident Composer Gavin Stewart and and numerous other musical collaborators, like Amikaeyla Gaston, Tammy Hall, Matt Jones, Clifton Brockington and more make for a unique artistic experience.
